Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision, including assisting with basic hygiene, oral care, and performing two-hour rounds to monitor resident conditions. Alert medical staff to changes in patient status, collect and transport specimens, and operate equipment like blood pressure monitors and SCD machines safely. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team while adhering to infection control and safety initiatives. Maintain medical terminology knowledge and attend required professional development programs.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED state certification or similar demonstrated ability
- up to six months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification
