Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN, applying knowledge of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences. Complete a state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course and obtain the Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire. Within 30 days, secure National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Work full-time 36-hour weekly shifts in day shifts at Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Some college courses in nursing or therapy field
- 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care
