Job Summary

Assist with treatments ordered by physicians and supervised by a Registered Nurse, while tending to patients regarding personal care and activities of daily living. Coordinate with medical professionals regarding patient conditions, assist with diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and deliver them to the laboratory. Maintain room cleanliness, organization, and supply inventory, and assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and turnover to support discharges and admissions. Perform any other duties as assigned while complying with company policies, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards. Requires CNA certification, 3-5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience, and current CPR certification. Work straight night shifts (1900-0700) out of Plymouth, Chaska, and Eagan Care Suites.

Required Qualifications

  • CNA certification
  • 3-5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines
  • Ability to complete job required training
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Ability to travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center
  • Ability to frequently bend, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time
  • Ability to work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Ability to effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel to other work locations, if required
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
  • Must be able to work straight night shifts, 1900-0700
  • Must be able to work out of Plymouth, Chaska & Eagan Care Suites
