Job Summary
Provide medication assistance, mobility support, personal care and hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation for seniors in the Kansas City area. Duties include assisting with ambulation, facilitating routine exercises, shopping or accompanying clients, reporting incidents, and offering companionship. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer's care to develop caregiving skills. Shifts include 8/10/12 hour options, with full-time, part-time, and PRN roles available. Requires compassionate service orientation, strong emergency response/first aid knowledge, adherence to health and safety standards, effective communication, and dependable time management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
