Job Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) trainee at Thompson Health, you will assist residents in performing daily living activities to enhance their quality of life. The position offers full-time hours during the training class and the opportunity for full-time or part-time work upon certification. You will receive paid experience while advancing through the levels of apprenticeship, with a commitment to remain employed with Thompson Health for one year post-certification. Strong communication, customer service skills, and a commitment to compassionate care are essential. Pay is $17.50 per hour during training and $20.00 upon certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent or 4 years of relevant working experience
- Remain employed with Thompson Health for at least one year from certification
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday after obtaining certification
- Ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors
- Positive attitude
- Empathetic, compassionate, and courteous demeanor
