Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating. Provide mobility assistance for transfers between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs, while helping with range of motion exercises and ambulation as directed. Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output measurements, and administer medications under supervision. Maintain a clean, safe environment by making beds, tidying rooms, and organizing belongings. Respond promptly to resident calls and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Provide emotional support and companionship to promote social engagement and well-being. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to resident care discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Active certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of [insert state]
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull residents and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling
