Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary
Conduct activities of daily living for residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining while promoting independence. Serve meals in dining rooms or apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition. Participate in and initiate leisure activities to foster socialization, maintain accurate records of observations and incidents, and ensure a clean, safe environment through general housekeeping. Follow emergency procedures, respond to resident requests, track resident locations, and report unlocated residents promptly. Promote teamwork and maintain high personal hygiene standards. Available for PRN shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA certification
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good judgment
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors
