Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Surgical ICU (SICU) rotating shifts. Under close supervision, assists professional nursing and care providers in delivering patient care, collaborates with RNs and the healthcare team, and supports daily patient care activities. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with the plan of care, ensuring infection control practices, transporting patients and specimens, documenting plans of care, participating in discharge planning, chart audits, and contributing to a safe, high-quality care environment. Requires CNA certification, BLS/CPR, and ability to work in a fast-paced trauma-oriented unit; shift rotations include days and nights.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification (Colorado)
- BLS/CPR
- DORA CNA license or eligibility
- Ability to lift/move patients and provide patient care as described
