Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Surgical ICU (SICU) rotating shifts supports the RN/LPN in delivering patient care for critically ill and trauma patients in a Level I trauma center. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, gathering and transcribing documentation, obtaining vital signs, following the established Plan of Care, maintaining safety and infection control, transporting patients and lab/blood products, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team, participating in discharge planning, and contributing to quality improvement activities. The role requires CNA certification, DORA licensure, and BLS CPR, with rotating day/night shifts on a 0.9 FTE schedule; EPIC documentation experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification
- DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies license for CNA
- BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Ability to use medical equipment
- EPIC documentation experience preferred
- Shift: Rotating (Days and Nights)
- 0.9 FTE
- No High School Diploma and/or No GED Required
