Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position in Adrian, MN. Responsibilities include assisting the licensed nurse in delivering resident care, performing medically oriented tasks at the resident's place of residence, following the resident's plan of care, administering medications as delegated by the RN, documenting observations and care provided, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring infection control, providing meals and feeding assistance, maintaining resident confidentiality, and coordinating with LPNs/RNs and other staff. Requires completion of CNA certification and state requirements, high school diploma, orientation program, and availability to work weekends and holidays. Emphasis on compassion, customer service, and respectful care for residents and families.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet and maintain State requirements of a certified nursing assistant
- Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma
- Experience working in the long-term care setting
- Completion of on-site orientation program will be given to obtain desired entry level competency
- Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own workload in a busy environment
- Knowledge of resident care plans, and state home care regulations
- Ability to communicate well with residents and families promoting customer service and respect
- Must maintain a calm and warm working environment with co-workers
- Meet the physical job demands of the position
- Hours of Work: As Scheduled. Works weekends and holidays as scheduled
