Job Summary
Assist licensed nurses in delivering resident care by bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, transferring, and administering delegated medications. Maintain resident health and safety by monitoring conditions, documenting observations, reporting changes to the nurse in charge, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control and privacy policies. Perform daily housekeeping duties including cleaning rooms, managing laundry, and maintaining building cleanliness while responding promptly to call lights. Work weekends and holidays as scheduled to support the facility's operations and resident comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet and maintain State requirements of a certified nursing assistant
- Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma
- Experience working the long-term care setting
- Work effectively with general supervision
- Ability to organize and manage own workload in a busy environment
- Some independent actions are required
- Knowledge of resident care plans
- Knowledge of state home care regulations
- Ability to communicate well with residents and families
- Must maintain a calm and warm working environment with co-workers
- Meet the physical job demands of the position
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of on-site orientation program will be given to obtain desired entry level competency
