Job Summary

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility while engaging them in meaningful conversation and socialization. Respond promptly to resident needs, observe for changes in physical or emotional condition, and report findings to a licensed nurse. Maintain a safe and clean environment, uphold resident rights, and document incidents in accordance with community policy. Carry an earpiece and handheld radio throughout the shift to respond to calls as needed.

Required Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Colorado
Ability to gain CPR/ First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations
Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
Must possess an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large
Must be an honest and dependable individual
Must maintain proper hygiene
Must be professional in dress and presentation
Must be willing to be active during entire work shift
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English and use own judgment and initiative in daily activities

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in accordance with state regulations including maintaining CEs and licensure requirements
Passed an approved food handler's or ServSafe course as required by County, State and/or Community policy
Must abide by the Community dress code policy
Must be willing to work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents
Must observe and uphold resident rights at all times
Must observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
Must observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty
Must maintain knowledge of resident care plans
Must document, communicate, and report, in accordance with community policy, any resident or staff incidents
Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change
