Job Summary
Provide and assist in the direct patient care of individuals under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, requiring an understanding of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences. Complete an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course to obtain the required license upon hire, followed by National Provider BLS training within 30 days. Work full-time 36-hour weekly shifts, including day shifts, at the Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, AK.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Some college courses in nursing or therapy field
- 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care
