Job Summary
Monitor resident needs by answering signal lights and bells. Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence. Obtain food trays and support residents with feeding. Facilitate range of motion exercises, movement to wheelchairs, turning, positioning, and short-distance ambulation. Record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, as well as food and fluid intake and output. Perform other tasks as assigned under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
