Job Summary
Under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed care team member, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and supports telemetry units. Duties include assisting patients with personal hygiene (bathing, dental/oral care, hair, nails), aiding with bowel and bladder functions, recording intake and output, collecting, labeling, and transporting specimens, changing and transporting linens, maintaining a clean patient environment, assisting with activity, turning and repositioning patients, and communicating pertinent information to the patient’s nurse. Responsible for setting priorities for multiple patients and collaborating with the nursing team to deliver compassionate, dignified care. Requirements include current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or successful completion of the first year of a nursing program with validated clinical rotation, High School Diploma or equivalent, and Basic Life Support (obtain within 30 days of hire).
