Job Summary
Conduct resident/patient care activities and related services under the supervision of the assigned Nurse Supervisor, focusing on personal needs, safety, and comfort. Assist in providing a positive physical, social, and psychological environment while following all Center policies and procedures. Maintain a positive attitude when relating with residents, families, volunteers, and staff, and possess special interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly. Complete approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program, and meet all health requirements as required by law. Read, write, speak, and understand English. Work part-time 2nd shift with wages up to $23.50/hr, utilizing flexible scheduling and shift differentials for PM/NOC.
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin CNA Certification
- Successful completion of approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents/patients, families, volunteers, and other center staff
- Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents/patients and the elderly
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law
