Job Summary
Assist with unit and patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, with full access to patient health information. Manage access to medication storage areas excluding controlled substances as related to job responsibilities. Maintain a full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test for bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods, while being able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. This full-time role operates from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM for 36 hours per week. Candidates must be high school graduates or current students in the CATS program, hold current Basic Life Support Certification, and be listed with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NC
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing
- Full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
