Job Summary
Conduct individualized resident care including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring, and ambulation. Lift, move, and transport residents while maintaining their comfort, privacy, and dignity. Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and units; ensure infection control compliance. Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing personnel. Answer resident requests promptly and perform tasks such as vital signs, weights, and specimen collection. Float between all units as needed. Maintain physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and use mechanical lifts safely. Work the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with no mandatory overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or successful completion of GED
- Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements
- Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely
- Must maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
