Job Summary
Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, and feeding; changing bed linens and maintaining supplies; assisting with ambulation and transfers; recording vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption; positioning residents; observing and reporting changes; contributing to the plan of care and MDS data; ensuring hydration and meal preparation; maintaining infection control and Standard Precautions; and supporting a teamwork-oriented, compassionate environment for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state
- CPR Certification
- High School Graduate or GED
- Currently attending CNA class (may not work non-certified for more than four months)
- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Good communication skills with patience and genuine caring for elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
