Job Summary
Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs, then assist with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Obtain food trays and assist with feeding, while performing range of motion exercises and moving residents to wheelchairs or activity areas. Turn and position residents in bed, and assist with short-distance ambulation. Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, along with food and fluid intake and output as directed. Work under supervision with a starting wage of $21.90-$29.55 per hour, including a Michigan Direct Care Incentive and weekend warrior program. Valid CNA certification and six months of long-term care experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
