Job Summary
Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs. Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Obtain food trays and assist with feeding. Support range of motion exercises, movement to wheelchairs, and short-distance ambulation. Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output. Perform other tasks as assigned under supervision. This role offers starting wages of $23.65 to $30.03 per hour, including a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive and weekend warrior pay, for a team recognized as Michigan's largest provider of long-term care and rehabilitation services.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
