Job Summary
Conduct Activities of Daily Living to promote patient comfort and safety under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Assist RN with data collection including vital signs, weights, intake and output, and pulse oximetry. Perform routine treatments, maintain clean work areas, and promptly respond to patient call lights. Document all care tasks and communicate changes in patient condition to the RN. Recognize life-threatening emergencies and take appropriate actions. Requires current BLS/CPR certification and minimum 18 hours of CNA training.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent (GED)
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
