Job Summary
Assist licensed nursing staff with residents' activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and positioning. Perform treatments, collect specimens, and record observations of procedures as instructed. Transfer, transport, and escort residents while promptly answering signal lights and maintaining clean workstations. Encourage resident independence in activities and restorative programs. Attend assigned in-service training sessions and perform specific duties as directed by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience
- Registration with State registry
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to document care given
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Shifts available: 3p-11p and 11p - 7a
- FT and PT positions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience
