As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you’ll provide essential personal care, comfort, and support to patients under the direction of licensed staff. You’ll assist with daily activities, maintain a safe environment, and document patient data, all while ensuring the highest level of patient care. You’ll assist licensed staff with hygiene, physical care, and comfort measures for patients; collect, transport, and handle specimens and equipment according to departmental guidelines; observe and record patient data, promptly reporting any changes to licensed staff; deliver care that respects patient rights and choices in a diverse, multi-cultural setting; promote patient safety, quality improvement, and cultural diversity through your work; ensure that care is age-appropriate, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and safety needs of each patient; maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with patients, visitors, and coworkers; stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance standards, participating in ongoing training as needed.
