Job Summary
Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs. Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Obtain food trays and assist with feeding. Perform range of motion exercises, movement to wheelchairs, and short-distance ambulation. Turn and position residents in bed. Take and record vital signs, food, and fluid intake/output as directed. Provide basic nursing assistance and support daily living activities under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
