Job Summary
Teach the NYS-approved CNA curriculum covering classroom, lab, and clinical components across three to four days weekly. Provide instruction, assessment, and mentoring to students preparing for the state certification exam, including remediation for those needing to retake the test. Deliver clinical instruction at approved off-campus sites in Sullivan County while managing on-campus sessions. Prepare students to take the NYSED exam and report directly to the Director of Nursing Programs.
Required Qualifications
- Verification of current New York State Professional Nurse Registration
- Possess two years of experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill
- certification to teach Nurse Aide or Practical Nursing
- two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility
- three years of experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the Commissioner of Education
- completion of the State-approved "Train the Trainer" program
