Job Summary
Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating. Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation, mobility around the house or outside, and physical therapy exercises. Plan and prepare meals, complete client shopping, and perform housekeeping duties while reporting unusual incidents. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency and offer activities essential for daily living. Prioritize one-on-one care settings with a supportive and compassionate demeanor. Validated Florida CNA or HHA certificate, CPR certification, and minimum one year of healthcare or in-home care experience required. Background screening authorization is mandatory for all applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Supportive and compassionate
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Take pride in providing high-quality care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA, or Nurse's Aide
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Florida Certified Nursing Assistant / HHA Certificate (CNA or Home Health Aide)
- CPR Certificate or proof of scheduled renewal class
- AHCA/FLClearinghouse Background Screening Requirement
- Authorization for comprehensive background review of civil and criminal history records
