Job Summary
Perform personal care activities including hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfers per the Registered Nurse's written assignment. Maintain a clean, safe environment through light cleaning, straightening living areas, and washing dishes or laundry. Measure intake, output, vital signs, and keep records of health care activities. Observe appearance and behavioral changes, reporting findings to the Registered Nurse. Work Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm caring for an 11-year-old male client in Haines City.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
- Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online)
- TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
- 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
- Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum of 2 hours)
- HIV/AIDs CEU
- Must be in or near the city of Haines City, zip code: 33844
- Monday-Friday 9am-3pm
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred
