Job Summary
Perform all personal care activities from the RN's written assignment, including hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfers. Maintain a clean, safe environment through light cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing. Measure vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, while tracking fluid intake and output. Document personal health care activities and report behavioral or appearance changes to the Registered Nurse. Requires a current Florida CNA license or 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate, plus BLS CPR certification and TB testing. Must be located in or near Ruskin, zip code 33570.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
- Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online)
- TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
- 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
- Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum of 2 hours)
- HIV/AIDs CEU
- Must be in or near the city of Ruskin zip code: 33570
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred
