Job Summary
Perform all personal care activities from the RN's written assignment, including hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfers. Maintain a clean, safe environment by cleaning bathrooms, straightening living areas, and handling laundry or dishes. Measure patient intake, output, vital signs, and keep records of care activities. Observe behavioral changes and report findings to the Registered Nurse. Work part-time Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am to 5pm in Stuart, FL. Current Florida CNA license or 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate required, along with BLS CPR certification and TB testing.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
- Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online)
- TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
- 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
- Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum of 2 hours)
- HIV/AIDs CEU
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred
