Job Summary
Assist clients with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfers while maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy home environment. Measure intake and output, vital signs, and report behavioral changes to the Registered Nurse. Keep records of personal health care activities and observe gross behavioral changes. This part-time role serves a 10-year-old female client in Boca Raton, with Thursday and Friday shifts from 6am-8pm and Saturday shifts from 7am-9pm. We provide PPE, training, and a supportive team focused on building friendships and making a difference in the community.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
- Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online)
- TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
- 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
- Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum of 2 hours)
- HIV/AIDs CEU
- Must be in or near the city of Boca Raton zip code: 33428
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred
