Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, urinalysis, and blood glucose, and administering injections and blood draws. Document and reconcile allergy and medication lists, collect specimens for off-site laboratory transport, and maintain patient education resources. Clean and sterilize instruments, perform quality control on diagnostic equipment, and monitor medication refrigerator temperatures per DPH requirements. Facilitate daily patient flow, troubleshoot issues regarding patient complaints and billing, and coordinate provider and staff schedules. Act as an EMR "Super User" by training new staff, distributing workflow updates, and participating in staff hiring and performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years of health care or nursing experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide Certificate from an approved certifying organization
- One (1) year of experience in health care or nursing
- Weekend Rotation Required
