Job Summary
Perform resident/patient care activities and related services under the supervision of the assigned Nurse Supervisor. Provide care for personal needs, safety, and comfort while assisting in creating a positive physical, social, and psychological environment. Follow all Center policies and procedures and relate positively with residents, families, volunteers, and staff. Complete approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation. Maintain English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding skills. Meet all health requirements as required by law.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents/patients, families, volunteers, and other center staff
- Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents/patients and the elderly
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law
