Job Summary
Conduct resident and patient care activities under the supervision of the assigned Nurse Supervisor, focusing on personal needs, safety, and comfort. Assist in providing a positive physical, social, and psychological environment while strictly following all Center policies and procedures. Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and staff, and demonstrate a strong interest in long-term care and elderly populations. Complete approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation, meet all legal health requirements, and possess proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of approved nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents/patients, families, volunteers, and other center staff
- Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents/patients and the elderly
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Meets all health requirements, as required by law
