Job Summary
Provides patient care-related support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by the Charge Nurse; documents into patient records; completes admissions-related tasks, orients residents to the unit, and ensures proper identification and kit delivery. Performs rounds, turns residents every 2 hours, monitors vital signs and intake/output, applies and uses prescribed devices, and communicates changes to the Charge Nurse. Maintains supplies and equipment, completes shift handoffs, and may take on additional duties as assigned while upholding confidentiality and collaborating with the care team.
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state you will be working
- CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- High school diploma preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred
