Job Summary
CNA responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and providing medication reminders per care plans; supporting transfers and mobility (lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, transporting to beds/chairs/baths); assisting with dining services and documenting meal intake; monitoring residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and reporting changes to nurses; delivering nutritional supplements and ensuring adequate intake; participating in life enrichment activities; documenting resident care timely and accurately; complying with policies and procedures; weekend differential applies. The role requires compassion and patience, with focus on maintaining residents' dignity, independence, privacy, choice, and rights; prior experience with seniors is preferred. Location(s): Evanston, IL and Lindenhurst, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations
- Experience: 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred
