Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a surgical-focused setting for full-time day shifts. Responsible for direct patient care under RN supervision and for performing clerical and related duties to support department operations. Duties include activities of daily living assistance, ROM, ambulation, positioning, feeding and meal delivery, hygiene care, specimen collection and processing, vital signs and monitoring, data entry into electronic medical records, and coordinating equipment and supplies. Requires VA CNA license, BLS CPR certification at hire, and CPI within 90 days at the Snowden location; environment includes potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and vaccines as part of safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required
- AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
- CPI may be required within 90 days of hire for Snowden at Fredericksburg site
