Job Summary
Attend to resident needs including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulation. Record vital signs and lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics. Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management, asking clarifying questions as needed. Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors while reporting abnormal patterns to nursing staff. Demonstrate ability to assist nurses with various directed duties. Requires current state CNA certification, accredited program graduation, and one year of Long Term Care experience preferred. Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program
- Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred
