Job Summary
Assist with patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, and mobility. Provide basic wound care, document medical histories, and report changes in patient health to nurses. Coordinate patient appointments, manage medical supply inventory, and handle communications while maintaining strict confidentiality. Work under the supervision of registered nurses in a secure correctional environment, performing physically demanding tasks such as patient lifting and CPR. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available with new pay rates, a $2.00 hourly incentive, and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current Certification as Certified Nursing Assistant in AZ
- Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA required)
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods
- Must have the ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
- Must have the ability to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift
