Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting. Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate per established protocols. Provide basic care and comfort by ensuring patient repositioning, skin care to prevent pressure ulcers, and emotional support. Facilitate patient mobility through walking, transferring from bed to chair, and transporting patients within facilities. Observe patients for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report concerns to nursing staff. Collaborate with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Follow safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and infections while maintaining a clean environment. Requires active Indiana CNA certification, high school diploma, and ability to lift and move patients using proper body mechanics. Full-time direct placement in Indianapolis, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an active CNA certification in the state of Indiana
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move patients using proper body mechanics
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical strength
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
