Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Newton Village provides personal care and assists with activities of daily living for residents. Responsible for helping residents reach and maintain independence, assisting with treatments as delegated by the RN per individualized care plans, and taking and recording vitals (temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration). Documents services on computerized charting, assists with prescribed program activities, observes residents and reports changes in condition to the RN, and performs additional tasks as needed. Works part-time with Day shift 6:00 am – 2:00 pm at Newton Village, Newton, IA, collaborating with other CNAs and Nurses to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current IA Nursing Assistant certification required
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff
- Ability to work a consistent work schedule
