Job Summary
Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, including personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care), assisting with ambulation and transfers, taking vital signs and input/output, assisting with meals, observing residents and reporting changes to the Charge Nurse, contributing to the plan of care, ensuring hydration, maintaining cleanliness and safety, participating in staff orientation and training, and upholding confidentiality and resident rights; requires either a current state CNA certification with CPR or active CNA coursework while meeting facility requirements; High School Diploma or GED is required; positions may be full-time or part-time; fast-paced environment with exposure to infectious risks and adherence to standard precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state
- Maintain CPR Certification
- High School Graduate or GED
- Currently attending a CNA class (non-certified) (may not work non-certified for more than four months)
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Comply with the Resident Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
