• •Must be able to change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies
• •Must be able to ambulate and transfer residents
• •Must be able to record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information
• •Must be able to routinely turn and position residents
• •Must be able to observe residents carefully and report changes in condition
• •Must be able to recognize a resident's ability to make choices and support these
• •Must be able to participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care
• •Must be able to provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care
• •Must be able to provide adequate hydration to residents at regular intervals each day
• •Must be able to prepare residents for each meal and transport to dining room
• •Must be able to keep an accurate record of food intake and output
• •Must be able to assist nursing staff with the basics of aseptic and sterile techniques
• •Must be able to be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light and noise control
• •Must be able to take TPR, blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc. as directed
• •Must be able to promptly answer call lights and other resident needs
• •Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents
• •Must be able to assist in the orientation and training of other staff
• •Must be able to attend in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirements
• •Must be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures
• •Must be able to know how to use the information from Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures
• •Must be able to maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information
• •Must be able to protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
• •Must be able to protect the personal property of the residents of the facility
• •Must be able to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined
• •Must be able to perform Essential Duties as outlined above
• •Must be able to answer questions regarding job description and its requirements
• •Must be able to complete all duties as assigned
• •Must be able to understand that job functions may be altered from time to time
