Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing routine nursing care as directed by healthcare supervisors to ensure quality resident care. Key responsibilities include performing nursing duties as assigned, making resident rounds, assisting with meals and personal care, and maintaining cleanliness in the resident's environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential. Candidates must be currently enrolled in or certified as a nursing assistant, with at least 6 months of experience, and demonstrate a genuine desire to care for individuals with varying needs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people.
