Job Summary
Provide safe, basic patient care and activities of daily living under close supervision while collaborating with RNs and LPNs. Obtain vital signs, differentiate normal from abnormal findings, and report concerns immediately. Maintain unit-specific documentation, perform chart audits, and participate in discharge planning and multidisciplinary care coordination. Transport patients, deliver specimens and medications, and ensure infection control practices. Requires CNA and BLS certification, less than one year experience, and Microsoft Office proficiency. Required Qualifications
- CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or GED
- Work experience of less than 1 year
- Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to assess data reflecting the patient's status and interpreting appropriate cultural information of the patient(s)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
