Job Summary
Provide personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting. Monitor vital signs, record intake and output, and document activities of daily living on flow sheets. Reposition residents, assist with ambulation, and maintain hygiene while observing resident rights and reporting physical changes to nurses. Answer call bells, make rounds, and evacuate residents during emergencies per facility policy. Assist with admissions, treatments, and restorative care under supervision. Work scheduled shifts demonstrating dependability and punctuality while using standard precautions to prevent infection.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully complete a state-approved nurses aide-training program
- Must understand English both written and spoken
- Must have current certification and registration with the state Department of Health
- Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law
