Job Summary
Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients by assisting with hygiene, grooming, toileting, safe mobility, and meal preparation. Offer emotional support to patients and families while observing and reporting changes in physical or mental condition. Maintain accurate visit documentation, attend team meetings, and practice strict infection control protocols. This role requires an active CNA license, current CPR certification, a driver's license, and at least six months of direct patient care experience. Candidates must be comfortable working in home settings, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $23.00 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Active CNA license in the state of employment
- Current CPR certification
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance
- Six (6) months of direct patient care experience
- Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations
- Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology
- Prior roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes
- Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support
