Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, and changing linens. Maintain active nursing aide certification in the state of operation and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to address age-related resident needs. Communicate resident conditions clearly while relating information concerning their status. Work as a supportive team member with patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition to handle difficult residents. Full-time, part-time, and per diem shifts available across multiple schedules in Livingston, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing aide certification in the state of operation
- Certified or state tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
