Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under nursing direction, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, and changing linens. Maintain active nursing aide certification in the state of operation and demonstrate knowledge of age-related resident needs. Act as a supportive team member with patience, tact, and enthusiasm to handle difficult residents while relating resident condition information to staff. Available for all shifts in part-time, per diem, long-term care, short-term rehab, or skilled nursing settings in Newton, MA. Compensation ranges from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience and credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing aide certification in the state of operation
- Experience with patients of all ages in a SNF setting
- Certified or state tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Willingness to handle difficult residents
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
