Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under nursing staff direction, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, and changing linens. Maintain active nursing aide certification in the state of operation and demonstrate knowledge of age-related resident needs. Contribute to a supportive team environment with patience, tact, and enthusiasm when handling difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition. English language proficiency required.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing aide certification in the state of operation
- Certified or state tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with patients of all ages in a SNF setting
